Cicada Information Bus (CIB)

CIB is able to access disparate repositories of information within or without the enterprise and present it, along with our proprietary ranking algorithm (RankHit), to the users. The various semantic tools associated with the CIB are expertise locator, information search, taxonomy map, meta-tagging, and user profiling (through the Content Semantic Analytics engine). Basically the CIB is composed of two main components, CIB native, to search and retrieve information from the Enterprises' own databases, and CIBMeta, to search and retrieve information from outside the Enterprise. The buzz words for the functionality of our CIB are Federated/ Unified/ Aggregated Search Engines, created by the big players in the enterprise solutions industry.

In essence, CIB is an Enterprise Search Engine that is able to seamless integrates with existing IT infrastructure to facilitate information access, retrieval and management from disparate datasources found inside the Enterprise environment as well as outside of it.

CIP Meta Search is an intelligent and efficient methodology that carries out any number of searches by simultaneously consulting the various data sources; these could be databases, internet search engines, file servers, listed category websites, other data source on the Intranet etc. It is easy to integrate into any system and platform. Searching by free-text keywords, the meta-search will return all relevant information and systematically rank the results using Cicada Cube's Ranking technology.
